articles of clothing i mean...it seems no matter how much i get rid of...there is always more to get rid of lol.

Maybe I need to set a number like some people do. I think I read about 2011 which would include everything...down to earrings and socks lol...of clothing related items. Still seems like a lot when there is that big of a number.

How do you sort stuff you do not need or want to keep...do you go by if you havent worn or used it in a year..it goes? or longer?

I always use the One Year Rule. If I haven't worn or seen it in a year, it's getting donated.  As far as organization, when it comes to the closet, everything from clothes, belts and shoes are color coordinated.

I have clothes for dress up and clothes for work. I have sweaters and such for "winter" I usually don't have anything to throw away unless it is worn out or doesn't fit. Just because I haven't worn it a while doesn't mean the occasion it was bought for won't come around again.

I'm not a clothes hoarder, so when it's got a stain or it doesn't hang right, or has faded I tend to donate it. I don't buy a lot of clothing, either, so I don't always have more and more.

I don't have many clothes for myself- not that I'm complaining- I have enough (just the right amount)

but my boys on the other hand, they have a TON of clothes- I love to shop for them...I can't really say that they have "to many" clothes though

I just get rid of things (give them away) when they no longer fit
