Not all out but we definitely do parties, presents, and the whole shebang :)

Nothing too extreme, but we make sure there's lots to do and everyone has fun.

But in general no.. they get a cake and food of their choice..

I wouldn't say we go "all out". We usually do it at a park and have cake, ice cream, food trays, pizza, pinata, etc..

Yes, I go all out. They only get one a year.

 We used to and it got to be expensive and just plain old stressful for me trying to get everything done.  Two years ago we were in Nashville for a wedding over my youngest son's birthday weekend, so we didn't have a party for him.  Instead we let him take one friend and do anything that he wanted and to dinner of his choosing.  My oldest son wanted the same thing on his next birthday.  Now that is what we do and it is so much more fun for all of us.
