Do you make your kids say sir and ma'am when addressing adults?
Nope. I don't see a point in it.
When we visit the south. (which is never, so no) I do make them use proper names if they know them though, mr. x and mrs. y....but 99% of the time, people don't introduce themselves in ways that make it easy to address them. All my kids friends parents are "so and so's mom"
I tell him to use "mister" and "miss" most times..
I've taught them to do so...sometimes they don't though
yes and i use them as well if i am saying excuse me or thank you to someone i don't know.
I don't "make" them, but I do encourage it.
Quoting aneela:I tell him to use "mister" and "miss" most times..
