Do you make your kids say sir and ma'am when addressing adults?
No, that's not common around here.
Nope. I hate being called ma'am, it makes me feel like an 80 year old lady.
Family and friends are aunt or uncle so and so. Other adults are called Mr, Mrs, or Miss last name.
I actually don't care to be called a Ma'am. I understnad that it's how some people are raised but I do sorta cringe when someone calls me that. Not sure why...
They have to use Mr and Miss.
Quoting sweettigeress:Nope. I don't see a point in it.
Nope. I don't see a point in it.
Yes! I also don't allow him to use a first name without aaaaa miss, mrs. or mr attached to it. I get a bucket of grief from it but son just see a difference between the way he talks to adults and the way he talks with his buddies on the playground. Since he has so much troubke with social interaction it's just easier to make it a hard and fast rule.
No we don't. For friends parents they have been using like "Mr Chris" or sometimes on their own all they do is say "Sofie's mom" I've been trying to use names more but since they are only 4 they aren't grasping it. I find so many parents lately don't want to be called Mrs so and so....
no we don't
It's Mister or Miss.
I don't know any woman who likes being called "Ma'am". I know for me, it makes me want to rip someone's face off.
