It seems everyone has some technique or piece of advice on how to have better sex. But for one sex educator in San Francisco, it isn't enough to have one 20-second orgasm each time. No, this sex educator wants women to have orgasms that last four months.
Yes, you read that right. Four months! Author and sex instructor Nicole Daedone teaches The Art and Craft of the Female Orgasm, which, she claims, with the right partner and advanced technique, can last for up to four months.
OK, but who
would really want that? Honestly?
Orgasms are fantastic. I love them, but when they're over, I also love getting on with my life. I have no interest in continuing those waves for one day, let alone four months.
She calls the practice "orgasmic meditation" (OM), and it sounds less like a continual experience of the waves of orgasm and more like living in an ongoing "aroused" state. Hmmm. It's still not sounding fun to me.
In fact, the whole act involves 45 minutes a day of "stroking" where the man touches the woman and describes every moment of the process. Who has time for that?
I will admit I am curious, but 45 minutes a day on top of marathon training, working, yoga, and my children seems a bit excessive. I guess I would rather have a massage if I had 45 minutes a day to devote to any kind of sensual pleasure.
Of course, this is a kind of massage. And the fact is, couples who can talk about their sensations openly probably do have better sex. But I'm still not sold on the idea of four months of arousal, orgasm or not. Why does everyone feel the need to improve on something that is already so amazingly good on its own?
Would you want a four-month orgasm?
