What age would you start letting your child go to sleepovers or have sleepovers? I'd wait until 8. I wouldn't wanna deal with the kids wanting to go home early. At least at age 8 they have things to talk about, and they can do somethings by themselves.

I did it at age 7. For my birthday I had my first sleep over.

It would really depend on the kid, the situation, and the parents that were hosting.

I'm not sure. My oldest is only 2 so I have a while to think about it.

I guess technically we had a sleep over when DS was 18 months. I watched a little girl over night and they shared a room.

But, I guessing thats not what we're talking about.

My dd is 5a and I let her, but I'm really good friends with her friends moms so that's a little different.

 I think 7 or 8 is a good age!

It depends on the child.

My son is 4 and we've had a sleepover with two friends' kids...

But actual sleepovers at someone else's home... It just depends. My neice went to a friend's last summer and ended up calling crying at 11:00 to come home. She is 7.

I'm not sure.  It depends on what my kids are like (they're both under 2), and how well I know the families of their friends.
