During a mandatory evacuation, if someone refuses to leave and then requires to be rescued, do you think they should have to pay for it?

Imo, if you refuse to evacuate and end up in trouble then yes, you should pay for it.

Yep, I totally agree with you. I don't feel sorry for people who choose to be stubborn and put their lives in danger.

If you are dumb enough to put yourself in danger, then yeah, you should pay.

If they had the means to be able to go somewhere else yes. But I wouldn't punish someone who didn't really have a choice in the matter.

They won't be rescued until it is safe for crews to so. So...I don't know, being as, chances are, they won't be rescued.

If not you, then who?

You've already refused the public services available (like, the storm warnings and the evacuation precautions)... how much more do you expect?

It's like the joke about the guy who's floating at sea who's prayed to be rescued and turns down a helicopter, a cruise ship, an aircraft carrier and a guy in a dingy... when he dies and ends up in heaven, and wants to know why god didn't save his life, god said 'I sent 4 rescue teams, what more do you want?'
