Food Stamps at Fast Food restaurants? (sfag)

This may have already been discussed but, I just saw on the news this morning that fast food chains (KFC, McDonald's, and a few others) are trying to get the government to allow Food Stamp benefits to be used at their restaurants. A few states already allow this.

How do you feel about your tax money being used to help people eat out at fast food restaurants?

My 1st thought was great, more fat kids.

I think it's a bad idea.

This is what I think. I am all for Food Stamps going toward groceries to help feed people that need it. But this is crazy!

I really don't care, if they want to spend their f/s unwisely, then that's their fault.

I also believe that poor people deserve a "treat" once in a while.. Eating MCDonalds once or twice a month isn't going to make a person fat.

I have seen that- but IMO papa murphy's isnt the same as McDonalds or Wendy's kwim?

And they would be fed with food from the grocery stores! Even ones without a home could find something there...

Our state doesn't allow anything hot or already prepared. Papa Murphy's accepts it because it's not prepared. I think that's how it should be.

I feel great about it!  That benefit is for homeless people only, and I think its great they can use their fs to get a hot meal.  I  have absolutely no problems with it.

I do have a problem when people sell their fs.  Not when they use them as intended; and in this situation, they would have to prove they had no address or home, and they have nowhere to cook/store foods.
