Do you donate blood? If so why or why not? I am O+ and try to donate when I can. I almost needed a blood transfusion once; so if my blood can help save a life so be it! :-)

I donated twice in high school. I fainted after both times a few hours later. Between the school nurses, the red cross volunteers, and my doc they told me no more donating for at least 10 years. I am almost there, but am almost anemic and bfing right now. I will wait a few more years to make sure I am healthy enough.
