That fancy -- and expensive! -- salt scrub is pretty much as easy as it sounds. So make your own! Facial scrubs and cleansers are easy, too -- see here! You can make your own moisturizer, lip gloss, hair conditioner, shine serum, etc. Pretty much any product you can find in the store, you can make yourself -- for less! You might have to spend a little more up front, but your yearly savings will be astounding. Plus, no nasty chemicals!

Do you make any of your own beauty products? Share your best tips!

Lip balm, hard lotion, body scrub...so easy and much healthier :-)

also use coconut oil as a moisturizer. Olive oil and sugar as a scrub or baking soda a little water for a face cleanser.

I have made a sugar scrub before. I usually don't use many things like that anyway.

Great idea. Yes I do. I love making my own natural facial masks. I use plain yogurt and add honey, I also use an avocado based mask as well. They are so good and good for your skin too. This helps save money on those expensive facial masks.

I don't. I am not sure I want to put food on my face, although I know this is silly. Better food than chemicals...
