Before this, the movie wasnt even a blip on mil's radar. So I was kind of surprised when she suggested a Tangled/Cars theme for Lilly and Quincy's room. First of all, Lilly isn't aware of cartoons or characters or anything of the sort. She doesn't even know her arm from her foot! Secondly I don't understand why mil keeps trying to use things that I like or my kids like. I could understand her reasoning better if Lilly was into the movie too.
I wasn't sure what to say so I said that Lilly looked more like a sleeping beauty than tangled and that I'd come up with some ideas for mil to look at. Wondering now if I should have even offered to redo the room. :-/
ok so who's Lilly & how old is she and also how would you incorporate Tangled with Cars? kinda difficult...& why are children of opposite gender in same room ,how old are they ( most states say any child over age 2 shouldn't share room with sibling of opposite sex) good for you to offer to redo the room though, if Lillys not even old enough to tell her hand from her foot then she obviously wont care what her room looks like, or how about a theme covering ALL the disney princesses then when she's older she can pick which one she likes? Good luck!
Lilly is a 2 year old special needs child that was adopted by my mil and fil last December. She's just above legally blind, can't crawl, can't eat except through a feeding tube, and she has a slew of health issues.
Quincy is a 3 year old autistic boy that was also adopted a couple years ago. They just moved Lilly back into his room for the time being.
I have no clue what she was thinking. Lol. I think she wants a really girly theme for Lilly and a boyish one for Quincy.

I don't get where people get that its against the law for children of opposite genders to share a room. I have been told this a few times now. Yet have never been able to find straight info on that..

I have no idea... How about just a princess room without any characters?

My son is really upset about not sharing a room with his sister once we move into a bigger place. He likes having her there. He told me she helps make him feel safe. haha

The military frowns upon it but I've never heard it was a law either. Lol

Plus I asked Zadessa and she said that movie is for both. Not a boy movie and not a girl movie, it's both. lol =)
Quoting goddess99:I would do something very colorful. Since it's a boy and girl sharing a room..? maybe Monsters, Inc. The characters aren't really scary or anything, plus they are very colorful and interesting looking. JMO
I know when my son shared a room with my god daughter. I love to draw so we make a starry sky and buzz and barbie dancing together. I know colorful is good. Good luck.
