My son lost his first tooth tonight. I want to make it very special, but don't want to go over the top. My brother told me he gave his 7 year old daughter $10 when she lost her first tooth. I'm wondering what the going rate these days?

I gave her 100 pesos ( around 13 dollars, with the first tooth) and her grandpa gave her 200 pesos around 23 dollars for this one that just fell off..

I think it depends on the child, my son lost his 1st tooth at 5yrs. and was excited about the change "she" left. It was an all of a  sudden fallout and we gave him what we had in change because he thinks coins are worth more-lol

I think this is a good idea!

$5 for the first and $1 for each after that.

We did $3 and lip gloss for the first one, $1 for each tooth after that.

I asked my friend that cause her daughter just lost 2 teeth and she said 2$ for a tooth. My son has a long ways to go before he loses his first tooth. He's only 7 months and has 2 teeth! lol
