Mya and Her Moms: Lisa's Coming-Out Story, with a Twist

Posted by   + Show Post

Although she's been in a committed relationship with her partner Laura for many years, Lisa had previously been married - to a man.

In this episode, Lisa explains what changed for her after her divorce, and how she came out to her family. Although they were accepting - as she'd anticipated- their reaction still surprised her! See why about halfway through the video.

Do you know anyone who came out after being in a heterosexual relationship first?

My SO's mom was with his father for years, she had 7 children and is now a full blown lesbian.  She came out after two of her children died within a month of each other in 1993 (one was in a car accident, the other was being chased by some gang members who THOUGHT he was a rival and he had a life ending asthma attack.)

No I don't know anyone because I think homosexuality is the nastiest thing any two people can be involved in. My friends know that I would stop associating with them if they ever came out. Even my children know I would want to put a gun to their heads if they came to me with this filth.  My motto is, if you want to live like this, you will not be welcomed in my home or around me. The thought makes me physically ill. Homosexuality is a choice, not the way you were born. l just feel sorry for those lost souls that cannot recognize that  this is a disease not a right of passage.
