While it's said (however unfairly) that mothers-in-law are something of a headache, fathers-in-law enjoy a pretty decent reputation. They are the ones who foot the bill for the wedding, give home renovation advice, and hang out in the family room watching 'the big game' during holiday celebrations. What's not to love?

lol That does not sound like my ex-FIL at all. That was my Dad but he had Father's day he did not need another day it would have just gone to his head.

Hmm. Never heard of fil's day before. Mine is pretty awesome but he did not foot the bill for our wedding...that fell mostly on me.
