I think my baby is having nightmares..

My dd is 12 months old. Tonight, she was screaming bloody hell while still asleep. When I went into her room, I flipped the light on and she was still sleeping, but crying. She didn't even wake up until well after I picked her up to soothe her. =( she's done this once before.
She also has two top teeth coming in, so perhaps the pain made her cry but wouldn't she have woken up if that was the case? Anyone else ever experienced this? It breaks my heart!

That's what I was afraid of :( I've heard you shouldn't wake them from night terrors, but idk. I have to do something for her when it happens. It sounds like she's being hurt when she screams like that. What helped your son, If anything?

Nothing helped...:(

He would throw himself all over his bed. I know they say not to wake them, but i had to keep him from hurting himself. His started when he was 6 months old and lasted until he was about 3...although he still got them once in awhile after that, but they were more consistent from 6mo-3y. Good luck....I know it's heart breaking to watch.
