So today is my mom's birthday. I just called her to tell her happy birthday and she says that she's gonna come visit us next month and not to ask how she's getting here (she lives 2.5 hrs away and has no car, her's was stolen over 2 yrs ago and she's never been able to replace it because she lives on SSI/Disability). I ask why can't I ask how she's going to get here and she starts laughing and saying she's gonna go buy a car. I go how are you going to do that? She says that she went for a walk last night and decided to buy a couple of lotto tickets. She won $50K in the Badger 5 last night!! HOLY SHIT!!!!! Happy birthday to my mom!! I'm soooo happy for her!!
Oh, how WONDERFUL!! And Happy Birthday to your MOM!!! I love to hear stories that are positive and uplifting!! I have a lotto ticket for tomorrow night, I could use some prayers and good wishes. Last Friday, my son was driving to work, and the engine blew out of his car. Then, on Monday, he was going to work... after borrowing MY CAR, and guess what?? Yes, I feel cursed. But the engine blew out of the Taurus, too. I don't have a clue how I am going to fix this mess. So, maybe winning the lottery will help me, too... :o)
