Cold weather and your skin

Posted by   + Show Post

Now that colder weather is upon us, we want to know, what do you do to protect your skin during the winter months?

I use moisturizer every day but change the type in the fall and winter months to something that is longer lasting.

I don't do anything special for my skin until I need to. LOL.

That's interesting about sunscreen. Did they explain the reasoning?

Quoting Bmat:

I recently went to my dermatologist. He said to continue using sunscreen all year and to use a good quality moisturizer.

As tempting as it is to turn up the heat on your water when showering, I don't.

I also blot dry rather than wipe or rub dry. I immediately put on an intensive moisturizing lotion before getting dressed.

I love Crabtree & Evelyn products and use gardeners hand therapy year round on my hands. When I worked, I washed my hands all day long in between patients so they were always prone to getting dry and now that I am home with my boys, I'm still washing my hands all day! LOL
I also use Citron, honey & coriander body soufflé year round, it smells amazing and during the winter months I add a touch of neutrogena body oil to the cream in my hands before I apply it for extra moisture.
