Quoting GreenEyes8707:My son started before he was one. Then 2 weeks before be turned one, he had a sezuire, which set him back. I had him drinking out of cups and, walking and, he gota set back. But, it didnt take him long before he started again.
Totally true an the same for my children. My son lets his sister talk for him a lot but now that he is 3 he is talking about everything even though its still hard to understand him sometimes.

We didn't have the money either. All we had was medicade through the state. I took our son to his pediatrician. She shared my concern, and referred us to a specialist. Since he was referred, it was covered. Not sure what your situation is, but I'd look into it if you want to have them seen by a specialist. Good luck!
Quoting reneeprater63:I have twin girls 32 months, 2 1/2 and they are still not talking. They use a lot of words but their pronunciation is unclear. I don't have the money to take them to a specialist. What should I do?
My little guy was a little behind on talking. We did baby sign language with him and I think that may have put him behind on speech. He didn't start putting work together well til he was 3. He then had speech therapy and still has therapy at 5.
