Creative Play Challenge Day 5: Bake Something (Real OR Pretend)!

Posted by   + Show Post

Kids LOVE baking and devouring their concoctions! Today, pick something to bake with your child (and don't be afraid to make a little bit of a mess!) If your child is too young to assist in the kitchen, play with pretend cupcakes or cookies, or decorate paper "cookies" with crayons and stickers.

Lol- you should try peanut butter edible clay.

We back sometimes. But my daughter still does not understand that we have to cook things before we can eat them (she gets impatient). So instead we play with play doh and create foods that she can play with her pretend kitchen.

For Christmas we will be decorating sugar cookies tho.

My dd11 and I will be making cupcakes in the morning for her soccer team.  It's their final game and they are having a little party after the game

That's a good idea! But she is still super young. She is used to playing with play doh. I'd be worried that if she was playing with play doh at playgroup or family members that she might try to sneak a piece if I got her playing with edible clay when she is with me. Thanks tho! Cool idea.
