Preeclampsia and a natural childbirth

Posted by   + Show Post

Have any moms out there had a natural childbirth after being hospitalized for preeclampsia/HELP/or toxemia?

I am wondering because I did and it is just now sinking in how incrediably dangerous it was for me and my baby...

:( That sounds horrible. I refused pitocin. My agreement with the doctor was if I did not go into labor naturally in ten hours that I would have the emergency C section. I was 2 c dilated at the time and 37 weeks. I did elect for the cervical gel. Within two hours I was at a 6...I had non stop contractions after they broke my water. They were EXCRUCTIATING. I was more scared of an epidural/pitocin than dying...

On the one hand I survived and my daughter was very healthy...me not so much but I did not die.

On the other hand WTF was I thinking lol
