My hubby smokes. He keeps saying he's going to quit. He keeps setting a date but that date comes and goes and he still smokes.

I only allow (allow lol as if I control him lol let's say I don't bitch about it) my DH to smoke because I don't see it or smell it. He smokes when I am not around (he only goes through 2 packs a week) and sprays himself with smelly good after he smokes.

I was smoke free for about 2 months when I met exbf. He was happy about that because he was a non smoker. Then 9 months into the relationship I started smoking again, he was not happy about it but he really didnt complain much. We are not together anymore so now its just me and Im still a smoker but still trying to quit

My hubby does & I hate it. I know someone that died slow & painfully from lung cancer. Hubby's nan had emphysema. However, being allowed to start at 12, having a mom & stepdad that smoked in the house since birth & a nan & grandfather that smoked in the house since birth, it is all he knew. Every time he quits, it doesn't last. It is his stress reliever. Also everywhere he has worked, has allowed it on the floor or at work. Everyone can just smoke around you, it is your stress reliever, you grew since the womb with it, it has made it rough. But I hate it. He has done cold turkey, the patches & the pills. Pills worked the longest but never lasted.

I hate people that act like, well just quit? How can you just keep doing it knowing? Lets hope you aren't overweight because if so, how can you eat bad food or not exercise knowing? It isn't that easy, especially when nicotin is addictive.

I pray he will stop. He is going to work on it again & hope time sticks.

Ditto. His benefits are finally going into effect since his promotion. One of the services he is offered through his insurance is tobacco cessation. He says hes going to take advantage of it. I really hope he does.
