I too said 16. My daughter was and is quite tall (5'10"), I was at first determined to not let her wear heels until she was 18. But I caved in at 16

My dd is tall as well. She's 10 and a hair under 5'3".

I'm 5'8", her father was 6'2", so she leaned a bit towards her father on that one at 5'10".

It hispanic culture the quinseaƱera witch is the 15 birtday party 16 in usa. Means going from a girl to a woman. Thats when they give there daughters there first heels. My dad was so into that for me it ment alot to him. Lol

Actually my dd has been wearing heels since she was 2. And she got 3 pairs for her baptism when she was 3. For my dh, his family and her godparents it was important. But we will be taking them away when she's 7ish. So she can have the special part mean more at her quincenera.

 My daughter started last year at 15, she's 16 now and still learning, it's pretty funny to watch. =)
