help settle a argument... dishrags haha

My mom drives me nuts when she comes over,  she made a mess in my kitchen, example spills coffee, she uses the rag im using to do dishes with to clean it up, and expects me to use that same rag to finish doing dishes.  To me this is disgusting, She says its normal. What do you moms do? I use clorox wipes to clean messes, and rags only if its a big mess but only use that rag for that. Do you moms use the same rag for multiple things?

I typically use a Lysol wipe (I like them better than the Clorax wipes) or a paper towel to wipe up messes, but I'm not opposed to using a dishrag and then rinsing it out really good.

I'm funny about that to.

One cloth is used for the dishes and another for the counter. Not that I'm a germ freak, but I don't want to share what has been on my counter onto my dishes. Dish soap is soap. I use anti-bacterial for the counters though.

I hate to think about how I handdled it when I was newly on my own for the first time, everyone's so up on the "bacteria" issue. I might have washed the floors and then used the same rag to wash dishes for  all I know....eeeeww!

I use my dish cloth for most all kitchen jobs... I just disinfect it between uses :-)

I would use a different rag with soap and water.

I use dish rag for both.  I mean, they get washed, so I don't see the big deal.

I use sponges. I have one for the dishes and one for the counters. I couldn't stand using it for both

I use the same rag for dishes and countertops and the table.

No I also use Clorox wipes or Lysol Spray with paper towels!
