I would talk to his doctor about getting him back in a good sleep schedule.

Are you on anti-depressents, they can help with your mood.  Your child's ped can help you how to get your child on a sleep schedule.  What about your husband or boyfriend if any?  Can you guys switch times of who gets up to care for child when they get up?

I think you are overwhelmed because you are sleep-deprived, and it is causing you to be depressed, in pain, and negative about yourself.  Adequate sleep is so important for good mental health and a good outlook on life.  Is there anyone who can help you out by watching your son so you can get caught up on some sleep?  Dad, boyfriend, grandma, friend, neighbor you trust, etc.?  Your son definitely needs to go on a sleep schedule.  More activities to wear him out during the day will help him sleep better through the night.  That is really hard to do when you are tired and don't want to go anywhere, I know.   If he is sleeping during the day, then, except for a regular nap time, don't let him.  Keep him awake.  At age 2, he only needs about an hour to hour and a half nap in the early afternoon.  He doesn't mind keeping you up during the early hours of the morning, so don't mind keeping him up during normal waking hours.   He might even be ready to give up his nap (my second son was like that.  Gave up his naps at age 2, wouldn't go to bed until 10, BUT he slept until 7 to 7:30 in the morning.)   It wasn't conventional, but it worked for me.  We all got our sleep, I was happy with that.   You might want to try giving him a little melatonin before bedtime as well.   I am kind of surprised your therapist hasn't discussed this with you.  Lack of sleep could be causing many of your symptoms.  Start saving up a little money and check out thrift stores and yard sales for cute clothes.  You never know what you will find there, and you can't beat the price.  Get connected with the freecycle group in your area (google for it),  people give away clothes, toys, etc. for free.  Post what you want, and keep an eye on what is offered, it is all free stuff there.  Make an effort.  every day, even if you don't want to, get up, take a shower, wash your hair, and put clean clothes on.  They don't have to be the best clothes, and you don't have to wear makeup.  It is just doing a little something nice for yourself.   I started doing that just to wake myself up, but it helped me feel better mentally.  Good luck, sweetie.  Take it easy and don't be too hard on yourself.  It does get better, I promise.

Schedule a therapy appointment with a mental health care professional. There's no shame, many people see therapists. Hope you are feeling better soon.
