Is it true that once a cheater, always a cheater?

I say on/with the same person, yes, probably.

That said - I had an affair on my first husband. The fact that our relationship was crap and abusive is irrelevant - I still broke my vows. I did the wrong thing.

I'm since remarried and swore that I will never, ever cause that pain to anyone ever again. Cheating on my husband now is unfathomable to me. I have been honest with my now-husband about my past - and he has confidence and feels secure in our marriage, as he should.

People can change when the motivation is right. :) just not sure how common it is...

No.   If a person is truly happy and fulfilled in their relationship, they will not cheat.

In my experiance, Yes.
My Baby's dad always promised he had changed, but he never stopped. Threw in the towel when he cheated on me when I was 41 weeks pregnant!

When people know they have got away with it, and you stay with them/ get back with them, They know they'll get away with it again!
