Ok well I am planning on having an epidural but I am just a little scared because I heard you could be paralyzed and you may have complications. So if anyone has any advice on this PLEASE comment.
I had one with both my babies and no problems with either.
Quoting goddess99:I had an epidural. Did not have any problems during or after.
I had no probelms but a friend of mine says she has back problems now.
I can deal with back problems, I have those already lol

I had one and never had any issues. I did get headaches for about 3 days after from the meds but they said that was normal.
I had them with both of my boys. The first time I was glad I got it because he was an assited birth and then I had complications that allowed for imeadiate attention because I was already numb. My second child I had one and was not placed on the pump. The anastisiologist said he would be back to top it off in an hour. He got stuck in surgery. Hum natural way unplaned. I did have sever headaches after the second epideral but it was an easy fix. They took a small amount of blood and placed it where they had done the epidural and I was fine after that.
Two note I would say. I prefered the natural way. Yes at the time it was a bit more painful but my recovery time was a lot less. I took almost three weeks to recover from the first birth. The second one was only about four days.
Second if you do choose the epidural route I would make sure you are on the pump!!!!
Good luck to you.
I've had 2 and everything went well....they will help you and tell you just what to do....
