Terrible stain laundry question.

My MIL got my daughter an uber expensive dress for.christmas, and i pulled it out of the dryer yesterday and it had a rather large mildew stain on it. (I have no idea how). How do I get it out? I have been treating it and washing it since yesterday and it is a little better, but my MIL is going to have a freaking COW (bigger than the one I am having) if she finds out.

Try peroxide, original dawn, and baking soda. Rub in with a toothbrush.

careful with the peroxide - it can bleach colors

did you try the dry cleaners? they always have a way of taking stains out... I always just put liquid all detergent directly on the stain and rub in... it works for me... try it out if anything else fails.  otherwise just look for the dress on ebay, someone always has the same dress you have to sell... i have done that tooo.. blessings

i agree with the first post, but let it set for at least 2 hours before washing.  Since it came out of the dryer with the stain, you may have to take it to a dry cleaners.
