Getting my baby in her cot.

I have a 5 month old baby girl, who loves to sleep in her moses basket as she feels secure when she can feel the sides of it when going to sleep. We have been trying to get her into her cot as she is getting too big for the moses basket but she will wake up instantly or sleep for 5 minutes then wake up screaming as if she is scared. Does anyone have any advice on how we can get her to sleep in her cot?

thank you

Swaddle her?

Swaddling works. Or get some of those baby wedges to put next to her. Then after a while start moving them further and further away until they're gone completely.

She loves to wriggle and move about, would swaddling still work with that?

I don't know. She is going to have to get used to it.

Put the Moses basket in her crib. We had to do this with my DD it took a bit but she would finally go to sleep

My boys didnt like swaddling because they liked to wiggle, too. But you can always try it and see if it helps.

Is the cot in your room? Being near you may comfort her also if she is close enough for you to just touch her if she wakes. How old is she?
