How many miles does your car have to have to consider getting a new one?
I have had a car perform absolutely wonderful even beyond 275k miles until the tranny went out. Some brands of cars perform very well with lots of miles and others don't.
I don't go by miles. I go by, does it cost more than it's worth to fix.
I'm the same way too.

For sure don't go by miles. If you get a good car, it should be over 200,000. Plus if you figure what you would pay in a car payment, I would rather put some into a car, versus a car payment where interest is going to someone else. I hate new cars, see no point in them.
