MTHFR HOMO PANICKED

HI Yesterday i came to know that i am MTHFR C677T homozygous. I already have a 2 year old girl and was planing another preg but now i am awarei am more at risk of having a miscarriage or stillborn. I am very worried and afraid and i have many questions since i already had a pregnancy and THANK GOD all went well. please help. am i really at more risk? am i really at more risk to have a stroke etc? what shall i do? i am 30 years old. Are there are vaccines i shall not give my daughter since she might have the same gene?

I called hospital and spoke to the haemogolist and told him my results. He said i do not need to worry cos i have nothing and if i become pregnant i do not need to take anything extra except from eating extra folic acid from foods. However, i am not convinced at all especially after reading online what could happen! My idea is to be healthy as much as possible, eat healthy, exercise etc but i think this will not be enough to carry a baby till birth (even though i already did) i am worried i might miscarry or have a stillbirth. I am trying to have an appointment with another haemotologist for a second opinion. My gynae told me i would need to take aspirin just as a precaution (as i already did in my first preg). What do you think? I am feeling as if they are not taking me seriously until something really bad happens and i do not want this of course!!!! :(

HAS ANYONE GONE THROUGH THIS? ANY ADVICE PLEASE?

THANKS

Er...what about vaccines? I didn't get that.  You should see a doctor who specializes in genetics.

If your in doubt. I would seek a second opinion. Since your first pregnancy went okay I wouldn't worry too much in the meantime.

I have no clue what that even is. you should have you Dr refer you to a specialist to talk over another pregnancy and what to do for you and ur dd to see if she is a carrier of this trait and ur options.

YOu might consider talking with a holistic doctor and see about taking some suppliments to help reduce your risks through vitamin therapy and lifestyle changes.

Good luck!

cardiologist said i could have a heart murmur but now 100% sure and thinks there is a high chance i do not have but sent me for Ecg yesteray and it was clear and now i need to do echo am waiting for appointment. this seems to be never ending. He did not give me answers about my MTHFR though and he said i should stick with what my haemotologist told me but i am not sure i should!!!!!
