My son is almost 8 months. He doesn't crawl yet..but I was wondering if baby walkers actually help them by teaching them ? Also,do they roll on carpets cuz my apartment is surrounded with carpet. He loves his bouncer.

No, they don't help them walk. They actually hold them back from learning to walk. Plus they are unsafe especially on carpet.

Ok thanks. Any tips on helping them learn to walk/stand?

My oldest had a walker, my youngest did not. They both walked the week of their first birthdays.

I wouldn't rush it yet. You will be wishing he wasn't mobile once he starts lol. Every baby starts at a different age. As long as your pedi isn't worried he will be fine. :)

My doctor told me that a walker actually prolongs walking, but I received one as a gift and it didn't work on the carpet very well at all.  My youngest didn't crawl or walk as soon as my other kids either.  Just keep working with him and he will get it.  :)

I had 1 and my dd loved it. It was on carpeting as well. She loved scooting around.

Not sure how a baby walker would help a LO learn to crawl....

What does he do if you put him on his tummy on the floor?  if you put a fav toy just out of his reach, he might try to crawl or creep to get it.
