Trying to save on OB/Hospital costs (no maternity coverage)

I am pregnant with our third baby. This was not planned and we do not have maternity coverage on our insurance right now. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for saving money paying for prenatal and hospital care without insurance? I know some places give you a discount if you pay yourself but you usually have to pay the money in one lump sum. We live in the Raleigh, NC area if that helps with options.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

We have maternity coverage and could have had a hospit birth covered 100%. Buy I chose a homebirth and it was $2500 for all the prenatal care, postnatal care and the birth itself for my midwives. I know the average mama probably doesn't want a homebirth but you never know so throwing it out there, lol.
