Ds came home from school with a cold and gave it to me. I am ebfing 5wk old dd. I know me bfing will help a lot, but if she gets the cold what can I do to help her feel better/get over it quicker? Ds never got sick this early on so I'm not sure. He was almost a year before he got sick for the first time. I'm hoping she doesnt get it.

*update*
Dd woke up this morning with a stuffy nose and a light cough. Looks like we'll be making a dr appt

I wouldn't worry about it before it happens.

My dd got a cold around 2 months old.  We took her to the doctor and she had to have some anti-biotic eyedrops and was sneezy and fussy for awhile but she got better pretty quickly!  I had to keep cleaning her nose out a lot though which she absolutely hated :(

My DS got cold when he was 2m old and we ended up in the hospital for a week. Please bring your baby to the Dr. if you see the first signs of cold.

Yes, I agree if a 5 week old baby gets a cold I would immediately get your dd into see her doctor right away.

Ds and I are almost over it and as of yet (knock on wood) dd shows no signs of getting it.

Depending on the symptoms a NoseFrida could be useful.
