infant with a cold *update*

Ds came home from school with a cold and gave it to me. I am ebfing 5wk old dd. I know me bfing will help a lot, but if she gets the cold what can I do to help her feel better/get over it quicker? Ds never got sick this early on so I'm not sure. He was almost a year before he got sick for the first time. I'm hoping she doesnt get it.

*update*
Dd woke up this morning with a stuffy nose and a light cough. Looks like we'll be making a dr appt

She has a head cold. Lungs are clear. Gave her a prescription for nose drops to prevent bacteria build up. Said to bring her back if she develops a fever. So far so good. She's been fussy and not napping well today. I've been trying to keep her boogers sucked out, but damn it the girl is squirmy. Lol. Good thing I invested in the battery powered nasal aspirator when ds was a baby.

Boogie Wipes are amazing. that may help with the squirmyness.

1 mom liked this
Continue nursing and put some drops of breastmilk in her nose. Works wonders! Good for goopy/pink eye, too.

That's good. They all hate it when you mess with their nose. Lol
