Mom to Mom Mom to Mom

1st birthday gift ideas

Posted by   + Show Post
DS is turning one October 1st. I have absolutely no clue what to get him. He has toys, but since he's almost walking he doesn't play with them. Instead, he likes to cruise the house and fiddle with other things. I have a few toys that haven't been open because they weren't age appropriate quite yet but will be soon. Any ideas? This is my first and I've only ever bought for my niece.

Yes my dd loved loved loved all these things. Now she 's 11 and belongs to a lego club at school. lol such geeks =P

Quoting celestegood:

1,000 these. ALL are wonderful. All get played with A LOT.
My three year old LOVES mega blocks! My five year old started on regular legos last year-the mega blocks lasted years, and until they are five or maybe older they play with those.
I wish the car was bigger though.

Maybe something he could push around or a rocking horse.

Clothes. And wrap each item seperately. At that age they have tons of fun just tearing the paper off and playing with it.

They love to play with boxes too. Feels lame giving them a cardboard box. A pop-up tent would work.
