We're in the throes of back-to-school and we're all feeling it. There are forms to be filled out and homework to be done and permission slips to sign. Piano lessons have started, as have boys' and girls' clubs. There are school lunches to pack and parent lunches to pack and dinner meals to plan and prepare for.
We're running at full speed in my house.
One thing that we like to do as a family to burn off energy is dance. There are games with songs and steps, which we love, but there is something we love even more.
I will put on a playlist of our favorite songs and we will dance in the kitchen. There are fists thrown in the air and booties shaking (hard) and many people jumping. There is also a whole lot of laughter.
Stress can build, even in kids, but we like to diffuse it for all of us with dancing, laughter, and the occasional well-placed fart.
Do you have dance parties with your family? What do you do to de-stress?
