NEW BABY BROTHER....

I just had my second son 3 weeks ago. My 4 year old is almost 5 and has always been an only child. He wants to be the big brother and he is on the right track, but he seems to forget that his brother is there sometimes.... he oes out and plays with his firends and things like that and still does the things he done before his brother was there... he is not a insecure kid at all and knows that I love him so his does not show off or be bad but he just seems to forget that I have his brother too.... HOW LONG UNTIL THIS PASSES AND HE STARTS TO REALIZ THAT THINGS CANT BE THE SAME? I dont want to tell him wait or anything because I do not want him to become jealous or anything.... but I need him to realize that he has to share me!

Lol I'm 33 I still haven't accepted my baby brother

Good luck

Your baby is new and not very entertaining to a 4 year old boy once the baby starts to crawl and play things will probably change. At least he's not jealous

Congrats

I agree. Babies can be boring for LOs.

Congrats!

Give him some time to adjust.

Good luck!

Just give it a little time. Its a big adjustment for all of you. My kids are 2 months shy of 5 years apart. At first my son didn't understand why we couldn't go do a lot of the fun things we did before at the drop of a hat. He eventually understood. But honestly it wasn't ever much of an issue.

Things will change, but it is noce that he can keep some things that same. He will adjust. Once the baby is able to move around and he can play with him, he will be more interested

Hope things get better, I would say just give it time and adjustment....
