My daughter is now 1 and a half she will be 2 this jan. She is having problems sleeping throgh the night. She will wake up either all the way or just wake up a little and sit there and cry like she is half asleep. I acked her doc about it and why she wouldn't be sleep through the night because she use to. He said dont worrie about it and that she would grow out of it, and if she wasn't all the way awake then dont go in there let her cry her self to sleep. I had a son and he didn't do this. I know all kids are diff than one another, but what do you think it is that is keeping her up, or if you have any tips on maybe how to get her back to sleeping all night.

Thank You.

Well I would also tend to say to let her fall back asleep on her own.  If there's one thing I have learned from my daughter is that they are smart cookies and constantly testing you.  If you start getting up and tending to her, she will do this EVERY NIGHT.  At her age, she should be sleeping through the night.  She no longer needs to drink or whatever.  She could be having dreams.  My daughter sometimes will talk in her sleep, even sit up and smile, say stuff yet she's sleeping.

Could it be night terrors? Is she responsive when she wakes up? DD started having them around that age. She still has them occasionally when she is over tired and she will be 3 Saturday.

I would let her fuss and only tend to her if she is truly awake.

My little girl does this too around 330 or 4 im the morning,  Unless she is really crying I just let her alone.  Hopefully she will outgrow it:)

Is there any sleep specialist by you that you could take her to?
