Elf on the Shelf question!!

Elf is going to arrive today, and yesterday I learned he isnt suppose to be touched or he loses his magic...

So, now I am wondering.. When he gets into mischief how do we clean it up? Are we allowed to move him to his "spot" and clean up the mess? Does he have to stay there all day?...

Help! :)

Pretty sure parents are allowed to touch them?

Man we dont have one of those, but we do have Salad Tongs that may work... I guess when we can I will leave him alone & he can clean up his own mess.. But sometimes on the weekend it would be risky- that is when we will use tongs or maybe Mom will gently handle him... Ill just have to make it a big deal about "its important not to handle him/carry him around for fun/ no playing with him....

We leave it all day. Just make sure it's in a spot where it won't matter.

You could have him move though when no one is looking. It's all up to you!

In my house the elf loses his magic if the kids touch him, but not if i do. When they find him in the morning he gets moved to his safe spot for the day, my dd even tells me to move him lol, also ours doesnt get into mischief bc i dont want my toddlers thinking its okay, so ours does nice things, crafts, hangs around, etc
