Mom to Mom Mom to Mom

Is it just me or do other moms do it too?

I play with my son a lot and I speak to him in hopes he'd speak back. So when he does start making noises I always think he's trying to talk back especially when they're longer and sound like he's trying to repeat what I say. I just went through it when I told him over 1000 times that I love him lol. Do you mommas do it too? My fiancé says I read in to everything he does too much.

Yes other moms do it. My husband and I call or the parrot effect. They ate trying to mimic what you are saying. It is how they learn.

I did that with dd too, that's how they learn. You are supposed to speak to them normally, not baby talk, though. So they learn the correct sounds for words. I don't find it odd. I think it's completely normal.
