I was taken into the hospital by ambulance last night for what I guess was just a panic attack.
My husband was working and couldnt pick me up until his shift was over.
i was told after being discharged that i could wait for him in the waiting room, which was completely empty.
I ended up falling asleep.
I was woken by 3 police officers asking me why i was there. I told them i was waiting for my husband, and i had permission to wait here.
They then told me the hospital called them in to escort me out.
Into the snow.. with nothing but my pjs and slippers.
noone ever asked me to leave..
they also asked if they could look through my purse, which only had my cell phone, id, and tampons.
It was humilating!!!

OMG. Make sure when you're better you write a letter of complaint to the hospital. That is unacceptable!!

Oh my gosh you need to contact a patient advocate to deal with this issue.

I wouldn't let that go by no means. That is horrible! Please do something about that.
