Mom to Mom Mom to Mom

I just came from the eye doctor and found out I have cataracts. :(

I didn't know you got them at 51 years old. That is crazy! He is going to check my eyes in one year unless my vision gets real bad. To top it off I don't have eye insurance!

I worked at an optometrist's office, we had a toddler come in with cataracts. :/ It was very sad, but you can get them at any age.

The damage that leads to macular degeneration actually occurs most in childhood, as well, because of their undeveloped lens, I believe. That's why it's important for kids to wear sunglasses, but not a lot do.

You hardly ever see a kid in sunglasses.
