My now 2month old is forgetting to breathe while sleeping. He has done it every 2weeks and I'm starting to worry. While he is sleeping he is forgetting to breathe n starts acting like he is suffocating n he starts shaking n convulsing n then once I grab him he starts screaming n yelling n crying :/ he has a doc appt on wed.

Did your child of children do this? If so how did you handle it?

Sounds like sleep apnea. I hope your Dr figures something out. That would scare the hell out of me. Hugs momma hugs

It's sleep apnea. Your child will get a monitor and it's no big deal after that, it'll be ok.

My son forgot to breathe when he was born and they put him in the nicu but with your baby being 2 months old that's odd I would defanatly get him to the doc and find out what's going on.. that's scary! :-(

awww. I thought the same thing when my son was breathing weird i ended up on the phone with the drs at 1am telling them "my son is forgetting to breathe" he ended up being fine, but take him to be checked for apnea just in case...at that age their still "traumatized" from coming out of your belly into the world so they do a lot of weird things. Definitly get it checked out though!

I'd get him into the doctor ASAP!  Take a video of him not breathing and forward it to the doctor.  I've never heard of this.

I hope by now you have taken him to see the doctor.
