Should I still be worried about Target?

I rarely shop at Target. I went ONCE in the last 7yrs give or take. I happened to go when the debit/credit card numbers were hacked. It was like first week of December or so.

Should I still be worried and just get a new card? My MIL keeps talking about it, but Im just like, something would have happened already.

Idk. Guess on Friday I will go and ask my bank. Its the only day I can go.

My bank issued me a new card without me even calling them.

I wouldnt even remember the target thing if our bank hadn't just contacted us about getting new cards. So no, I wouldnt worry too much.

I shopped at Target 2 days after the cut off date for that (December 17th) and my bank still chose to issue me a new card without me asking.

If you shopped in early December though, I would definitely get a new card.

It wouldn't hurt to get a new card issued.  My boss used to work loss prevention, and he said many times with data theft like this, the thieves may sit on the info for a while before using it in hopes that the victim will assume that everything is fine.

I didn't shop until after. I didn't get a new card. I wasn't worried about it.

I have been getting a lot of calls, spam emails. Target sent me a message letting me know that my info had been compromised and don't open the emails etc. I'm getting sick of the telemarketers already.
