Mom to Mom Mom to Mom

Is this too much for a 4-year-old birthday party?

DD's birthday is coming up in March, and we have this idea that we can charter a bus and take her and as much as her preschool class I can get all the way out to Atlanta so everyone can "build-a-bear," then go out to the Varsity for lunch and see a movie of some sort. Is this too much?

How much is the charter bus costing and the build a bear?

It seems a bit much for a four year old's birthday party.

My son will be 8 this march and we are doing a house party like we do every year and his theme is despicable me 2. We are playing pin the tail on the donkey, having cupcakes and opening gifts. I have always done these kind of parties. I think you should do what you want but what does she want to do?

It might be a bit much for a bunch of 4 year olds. I would think that wouldn't go smoothly.

If you have approx a thousand dollars to rent a charter bus for a day, and $400-500 to get eat child a stuffed bear, plus $100 to feed each child lunch, and have infinite patience to deal with whiney and over tired kids, SURE! Go for it!

Also, you need to have 2-3 adults minimum for 20 or so kids to keep all those kids together in one place. You're also going to need to pay for the food for those adults, too.

A bunch of preschoolers on a bus trip? Are parents coming too? If so, why not just meet there?! If parents aren't coming you are taking on too much responsibility for their safety. I personally, wouldn't let my preschooler go on a non-school trip like that. Overkill.
