I worked 13 yrs, from about age 17 to close to age 30 doing different things. I split custody of my daughter so she's not around but a few hrs a few days a week so i can't really consider myself a stay at home mother but I do stay home and no longer have to work since I remarried and I wondered how many on this board do we have who work vs stay at home. ??

I worked for the first couple years of my dd's life but I was missing too much and the job just wasn't worth it to me so now I'm a sahm.

I work outside the home. I went back to work when my daughter was 9-10 week old. I work for the school district so I get the best of both worlds. I only work about 196 days out of the year.

I have about the same work history as you 17-30. I now stay home but work a few hours on the weekend while my husband takes care of our girls.

I'm a SHAM, but not by choice. Worked until 2011, when I tore my cartalidge in my knee. Then drs discovered that I have RA, Sjogrens Syndrome, & my kidney is only operating 48 percent, so now I'm adjusting to not working. I started working when I was 14,,,, I miss it, but am learning to adjust to it.
