I would like some advice from other moms. The father of my kids has not been a part of their lives, he signed of his visitation rights and barely talks 2 them as well as his family. Would u invite his family and him to the graduation party ?

Do you invite them to birthday parties and do they see that family at Christmas? If yes, then I would probably invite them, if not then no.

What do the kids say? I would ask them.

Have not been in this situation but I would say maybe call to let him know they are graduating...

The family has not stayed in real contact with the kids since i left my ex. The kids do not see their dad, he will not get visitation rights to see them. I

I would ask the kids what they want.

How big is it?

We've always done really intimate graduation parties. (Nice ones, my mom is HUGE on celebrating graduations of all kinds, but small and intimate.)

I'd be inclined not to invite him based on that.

Talk it over with your son or daughter. If they have their heart set on reaching out to their father and his family and want to invite them, then send the invites.  Ultumately it should be up to your child. It is their day.

Does your son or daughter want them there?
