I have noticed my son refusing to eat and saying he isn't hungry over the past several months. I feel forcing anyone to eat when not hungry will destroy the natural chemistry of the body hence all the overweight people/kids in America. Well I recently took him to the doctor because it was getting to be fairly constant and he is tiny for his age. He always has been so are all my kids but he unlike others stopped growing! I was in shock when the doctor weighed him and said last year he was 80lbs.( I saw for myself at home and he was that weight) and now he is a mere 64lbs!!! She acted like no biggie and took his blood work and after a week said nothing was wrong with his blood so bring him back in 6 weeks to see if he's gained weight. She offered a pill to make him hungry but I said wait for blood work. When it came back clear I called to get the pill and she said no wait 6 weeks and come back. Well in 6 weeks he could be in even worse shape!! I'm trying my best to encourage him to eat and I'm just confused why she seems to think it's no big deal am I wrong to be concerned?!
