Pasta and sauce, that less than 5 dollars.

Soup, that's maybe less than 5 if you get canned soup.

Chicken or pork less than 10 dollars

Frozen meals depends on what you get

Look for sales and use coupons.

I do a lot of crock pot meals. If you plan right, you can make your meals stretch with a limited budget.

Chicken & rice is one of my favorites.

I only get 150 in stamps. With 3 people. Timothy,my 6 yr old, is out for the summer. He loves to eat. Its hard trying to get everything on that 150. I do add cash by the way.

Buy large packs of meat and break them down into smaller portions and freeze in individual freezer bags. Cut meat out 1 or 2 nights a week, use beans instead. Lots of rice and pasta. Canned veggies while not the best are cheaper.

I use the crock pot a lot and I get the big packs of meat and I stock up on canned or frozen veggies.

I make pizza from scratch, and it costs about the same as a frozen one in the store. Less than ordering out.

I make soup from scratch.

I also use the crock pot. Planning meals that way helps them to stretch further, and end up costing less.

Crock pot meals can be cheap. Chili, Taco's, spaghetti.

We have a budget of $600 a month for the 7 of us.  We do lots of pasta dishes, casseroles, salads, crockpot meals.  Some months are harder than others.  We know what our kids love and know what they don't love.

tacos, sloppy joes, spaghetti...we use venison so we just have to buy the extras. Most of it I have in the house so it is only a couple dollars a meal :)
