I did once when I saw a man carry a gun into a grocery store at 1am. I call 911 a lot at work.

I usually call the police themselves as 911 takes longer here.  I've had to call the cops a couple of times....both because I thought someone was on my property at night.

I've called 911 when I witnessed an accident but not for my family personally.

Twice. One after the baby was born, she stopped breathing. Thank goodness we live around the corner from the fire department.

Second time, my husband had an allergic reaction to wine. Never knew he was allergic until then.

Sheesh, I've called 911 more than anyone I know. It's mostly been to report other people's car wrecks that I witnessed- once was my own wreck. One 911 call was becuase a group of thugs were leaning on and hanging around my car -  it was very late at night, they were blasting music and being loud and and they looked shady as heck.

The craziest 911 call  I have to make was when a drunk (or just plain crazy) woman almost walked out infront of my car. She was walking down a dark road flailing her arms like a windmill and almost stepped out in front of my car.
